Big Fish

I am enjoying a little time to myself in the afternoons, as Seb has resumed his afternoon naps due to a possible growth spurt. It gives me a little time to get some stuff done around the house, or watch a movie that he's not allowed to see, or even get in the occasional power nap. Today I was watching the movie BIG FISH, have you ever seen it? I just love that movie! I love the way Albert Finney tells about his life, it goes from everyday stories to incredible tales...Kinda makes me feel like a kid again.

Although, when "Edward Bloom" is in the Army and his wife gets the letter telling her he's dead, I just completely broke down. And then when he walks up to her a few months later and she's so happy to see him...All I could think about was how happy I am that Jason's out of the military. Don't get me wrong, it was very comfy and I miss our old friends, but I couldn't stand being without him while he's deployed and having him miss out on so much of the boys growing up or worrying about whether he'll come home at night.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm so incredibly lucky. I'm so grateful that he comes home to us every night and isn't in the middle of this crazy war. I'm blessed that I have someone who loves me so much, whom I can say I'm more in love with every single day! Someone who's giving me another wonderful, precious gift to our family. Even the silliest, sappiest movies can make you think about the blessings in your life and I just love when that happens and I realize how special my life really is, how fun and wonderful Sebastian is, how thoughtful and loving Jason is, and what an adventure Shanon will be.

Life is so special!

Life is special and special marriages where you feel more and more in love are rare so hold on to yours with your heart. I know exactly what you mean by that kind of love and it is precious and so incredibly fulfilling.
I can't imagine life without my husband. I truly live for him and my children are the icing on the cake.
It makes marriage, parenthood and everyday life such a joy when you have a love like that!
Isn't it cool?

It's awesome. I never understood it until I met Jason, but it's truly incredible...We're just blessed.

I'm so with you on all of that, but what I really wanted to say is that I LOVE that movie!! I also think that anything that inspires you to take a good clear look at your life is a good thing.

It's nice if it can be entertaining too, though!

Yes, what they said. All of that. It is so great when your life partner is also your best friend! The best part of my day is when Matt gets home and we are a family together.
