Damn, Damn, Damn! (Pardon my language!) Can you believe? I finally start eating/drinking something with a little sugar in it and I gain 2 pounds! Okay, I'll be honest, I'm not really sure if I gained it because I slacked off on working out last week or if it's because I've been indulging in some of the more sinful things lately. Anyway, yeah, I've gained two pounds, I'm kinda bummed about that, but I've been eating really well this pregnancy, and at least it's the end of my pregnancy now, so hopefully I can keep any other weight gain under control.
As for the whole baby story...I met my new doctor today (my regular OB is on vacation). She's really nice, fairly young and funny too. I'm still at 3 cm and have, unfortunately, tested POSITIVE for Group B Strep, YET AGAIN! I had it with Seb also. It makes me feel kinda bad to have that, especially since it only happens in 20% of women. On the plus side of things though, I'm 80% effaced now, so I guess we're just waiting on him now...My goal is to make it to Saturday afternoon before I go into labor but I've been feeling little cramps and some fairly good pressure going on, so I guess we'll see. Oh yeah, and she estimated him weighing betwen 7 1/2 to 8 pounds, but I'm not sure how accurate that really is...Anybody else know?
Funny, Seb didn't want to come out until 4 days after his due date and this ones knocking on the door already! I guess Seb will just work things out on his time and Shan will be racing along in life. What opposites, huh?!

Okay so you're entitled to feel a little let down about gaining two pounds (because you know I felt the same way!) but two pounds is freakin' awesome for the entire pregnancy! Makes it much easier post partum when you didn't gain much! Sorry to hear about your Group B strep! I think you're gonna go early with Shanon, no four days late this time! But for your sake I hope he waits until you get to go to the first race to support Jason!
Hey...celebrate two! It could have been 30 or 50 or more. You look great and when I saw you yesterday you looked radiant!
Thanks for bringing me my necklace. It is beautiful!
Don't feel bad about the group B strep, there's absolutely nothing you could have done about it and no way you couldv'e known. I learned about it in school and even if you've gotten rid of it once it can (and usually will) come right back. Luckily testing procedures are good now so Shanon should be in absolutely no danger and you will most likely live without even knowing it's there from now on. Oh, and I'm sure that the 2 pounds is just water!
