Wow, who knew preschoolers were so expensive? Okay...I did. I didn't realize that there was an application fee and an insurance fee and all that other good stuff and normally I would just be like "Well, we'll just go somewhere else." But the tough part is that we like both the schools that we looked at yesterday. I can't believe that time has flown by so fast that we're already looking at preschools for Seb. I think I'm going to be a little upset the first day. I'm sure Seb will settle in just fine. We have another school to go look at next week that will probably work better with our pocketbook and hopefully Seb will like it as well. We'll see how it goes.

Well at least we only have to pay for preschool and maybe kindergarten and then they'll be in the public school system though right? Unless of course you guys decide to not go public! Isn't it crazy to already be thinking school for our kids!!?? I need to get Connor into an actual preschool but I keep putting it off and putting it off! I heard head start was really good but I haven't checked into it yet! Good luck with what you look at next week!
Whew... I was beginning to think that your traumatic day had sent you into hiding! You seem fully recovered.
As far as the preschool thing....did you go to preschool? As a preschool teacher.. I see it's benefits but I don't see it as a necessity. Are you looking for the social aspect or are you looking to make your child a college worthy student by eighth grade? Get them too far ahead and they will be bored in school and end up with other issues. School is SO different now and sometimes I think that we are pushing our kids too fast. It isn't just about social status. Socialization is good but they are only kids for so long and they get to be adults for a LONG time. This is their time to play and develop through play.
Good Luck with your hunt!
