Well, yesterday marked our five year anniversary! Wow...It just flew by...Five years and two kids later, we're still going strong! I was getting ready for our little date yesterday and I heard a song about this couple living their love song and basically eliminating any doubt that they wouldn't make it and I thought "Wow, that's the perfect song for us!" There were some people, family members included, that didn't think we would make it...And we had a rocky time for a while, but things are really going great for us and I think we're truly stronger than ever!
My mom watched the boys for us so we could go out and the twins for my sister so she and her hubby could catch a movie...We went to the Olive Garden for dinner, where we ended up running into a couple of friends, and enjoyed pasta and Tiramisu while we played cards and laughed about the little things. For his present, I made a video of our "Five Years Together" and he loved it! And for me, he bought me the new Brad Paisley CD: Fifth Gear, the movie 300, oh...And a Tahoe! Okay, it's not brand new, but I love it! It's got so much more room than my little car...And although I miss Deb (my Pontiac--for those of you who don't know, I'm superstitious and always feel the need to name my vehicles) I really love the convenience of having enough room in the back of my new rig for our luggage, groceries, bodies (hey, I'm Italian), whatever I need, with plenty of room for my subs and strollers...Yes, it's a bumpin' mommy car!
Well, enough bragging for now, I'll post pics tomorrow...Oh, and I forgot to mention, it looks just like one of my sister's rigs. --That's right, Sal, our little rigs could be twins!

Congratulations!! 5 years is a huge accomplishment and you both should be proud. Personally I think you make a wonderful couple and I'm praying for at least 5 more happy years for you!
Okay, first let me say that you look beautiful in your pics! You look very happy and stress free.
Second...the first five and when the kids are young..like less than two...are the hardest. Once both of your kids are older than three (and assuming there isn't another little bundle of joy) life will get SO much less complicated that you just won't believe it.
Third...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and here is to the rest of your lives being happily married!
Fourth... My advice ... continue to prioritize your relationshiop with each other and setting aside time to just be a married couple and the road is much easier and tons of fun! We love our kids and our families very much but we always prioritize our relationship! I don't want to send my son off to college and then look at my hubby and wonder who he is! I want to know who he is and he to know who I am and then start living a newlywed life again! WOO HOO!
Keep up the good work!
