Tonight, as Jason and I were in our marriage group, we received some sad news. A couple that we're friends with (I'm not revealing any names about this) were expecting another grandchild last week and unfortunately, the baby did not survive. My heart was filling with grief for these wonderful people, as was Jason's, along with concerns of our own pregnancy. Mostly I feel a bit selfish about my own situation because I was talking with the wife about how excited Jason and I are and how great it was that they were expecting another grandchild in their family, and now we are still blessed with this pregnancy and their story is filled with sorrow.
So tonight, I am asking that all of you, whether you are in constant communication with the Lord or not, pray for this family, that they may have peace in their lives and that their hearts will be healed in this difficult time. I hope that you will all join me in this mission to bring closure and future blessings to this family. I don't question that what God did was right or wrong, but tend to wonder why he would take a miracle, so small and precious, so early. Has this little soul completed the journey so quickly that they are no longer required to stay here? In any case, I am glad that if a life so sweet and pure must be taken from the ones that love it so deeply, that it can be with the Lord and at peace for all eternity and that someday, when the time comes for that family to depart, that they will all be joined together again in a beautiful place with Jesus.
