Estimated E.T.A.

Well, today was the ultrasound. I had to wait all day until 3 p.m. to finally see how far along I am. Well, they took lots of little pictures and told us that the baby isn't really even a kidney bean yet, but more like a little sack of cells. I have a little cyst on my right ovary, but it's not harmful to the baby or to myself so that's good. Seb wasn't really that into watching all the black and gray on the screen and just played quietly for most of the appointment. We did all get to hear the heartbeat though, which she said is very strong. YAY! I thought it was the greatest sound I've heard since I was pregnant with Seb, well that and hearing Seb cry for the first time. Next time I'm hoping to be able to take in the digital camera or my MP3 player or something to record the sound of the heartbeat. Then everyone can hear it. LOL

Soooo, I suppose you guys are all curious to find out how far along I am...As the world does revolve around me. hehe Well, I'm 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant today, which is further than I sure thought I was. Damn faulty home pregnancy tests. So that puts my due date anywhere between April 22nd and May 1st, although if I held out until May 8th it would be really great, since that was my Pappy's birthday. Whoever has their baby on their exact due date anyway? So I'm probably going to be on Americanbaby.com every day now, or maybe every other day, reading up on how pregnant I am and what the baby looks like in my belly this week versus last week. I thought I'd put up a little picture from the website just to show how the baby looks right now...Not the most glamorous picture, but certainly a miracle in the making. So far, baby number two has arms, legs, hands and feet, but no fingers or toes, and is developing little facial features already. How exciting is that, huh? Well, food is calling me so I've gotta run...Stay tuned!
