Well, it's been very unexpected, but Sunday night I was feeling quite icky so Jason forced me into buying a pregnancy test and guess what...Yep, it's POSITIVE! Very positive in fact...That's the darkest line I think I've ever seen and it showed the result so fast too, I think five seconds after I put the cap back on the test. I couldn't believe it so I ran downstairs and made Jason double-check for me. I thought, just incase it was a false positive I'd take another one in the morning (trying not to get all excited about it) but I don't think I slept more than an hour the whole night. LOL First thing in the morning I took another one, same result, four or five seconds after I put the cap back on...BOOM, positive. So, now a feel like a real horses bum, because here I've been complaining about four negative results and telling Jason that we need to take the pressure off and just see what happens, you know, not worry about getting pregnant right away, and just like that I start getting some pretty strong symptoms. First my chest has been pretty tender in some fairly specific regions and that's never happened before, not even during a cycle, but for Jason, the real trigger was when was eating raviolis on Sunday night and the spell alone almost made me toss my little cookies all over the place. LOL Jason's already picked up 7-up and peppermints for me so I can keep the morning sickies at bay.
Sooo, I have my first doctor's appointment on Monday (Sept. 11) and then hopefully we'll get scheduled for an ultrasound so we can hear the heartbeat. I really want Seb to be there for it too, since it's his little brother or sister in there. He's been running around telling everyone "We're having a baby!". It's pretty cute. I just can't wait to start showing so Seb can feel the baby and see everything going on. My little niece & nephew, who are only four years old, are pretty excited about it too.
Anyway, I just figured I would let everybody know, since I'm already being blogged about and once one or two people know in our circle of friends, everyone else is gonna know too...I remember a similar thing happening when Jason and I announced our engagement to one friend, by the time we went to Ontario and back everyone knew we were getting married. LOL
