I Made It!

So, how does the car look? Bert & Wen, Jason & I all received a "special thanks" on the car and the crew is listed as well: "Cade, Megan, Sebastian & Shanon"! Last night was the first race of the season and I'm happy to report, I was there to see it! I didn't get to watch Jason drive the car at all but I did get to see my dad drive. The car was a little squirly but I think he did awesome, since he hasn't driven in...oh...24 years? It was bittersweet to see my Pappy's car out on the track, but he was watching over my dad and it was so exciting for us all to see my dad driving again!

Jason did get to drive during practice though and he did great! He was keeping up with the rest of them and even passed a few. The kids had a pretty good time, although it was pretty cold out there! And of course, Seb fell asleep before the night was through, but not until after Papa's main. I'm definitely feeling it in my hips though. Those bleachers are a little hard on the bum normally, let alone being pregnant...OUCH! Oh well, I get a weekend off before we head back on the 19th. I'll try to take more pictures then too. Then I'll also get to meet all the folks in the pits who think I'm all "hardcore" because I'm this far along in the pregnancy and I'm still dragging Seb along to the races...I love that they think I'm all tough, they really have no idea what a big baby I am. LOL
