Today Jason and I took Seb to storytime, where he always refuses to participate but still loves the crafts at the end. This was Jason's first time going with us to storytime and I think Seb really enjoyed being able to show off to his daddy, since Jason doesn't ever get to see what Seb does during the week. While we were sitting there, Seb on Jason's lap, I was just feeling my belly move and watching the other kids and parents and watching Seb with Jason, who was singing along with all the mommies and kiddies.--He's the only daddy I know who gets into what his child is doing at that level. He's not afraid to push the stroller, or put Seb's bike seat on the back of his bike, or carry the baby in the snuggly. I don't think I even had to change a dirty diaper the first couple days of Seb's life! He loved to feed Seb and hold him, and as I was picking out books that Seb might like I caught sight of Seb and Jason playing over by the big teddy bear. Jason had a horse hand puppet and he and Seb playing and laughing and I was just standing there, watching them, unnoticed. My eyes started to tear up a little, just thinking about how wonderful a father Jason is and how proud I am to have kids with him and to see him loving Seb that way. And knowing that he's going to be just as wonderful with Shan. To me, that's a true man. No matter what other guys say about doing the dirty work with their kids or how some people might think Jason's not a tough guy, to that I would just have to say: "I married a man who knows who he is, and boy it sure looks good on him!"

Awesome. You're right about the "real man" thing. SO right.
Indeed, jason is a jewel! :-) And it's good that you are aware of that. :-)
I think one of the most precious thing is to see a Father playing with their child. Jason is a Great man. He loves his family and it shows.
More power to ya girl! Isn't it the best? I married one of those guys myself. There is nothing better than watching the man you married parent your children as well as you do. It's one of my favorite things in life.
That's awesome that Jason went with you to storytime. I'm glad you realize how lucky you are :-)
