Wednesday night we decided to get some pizza and make it a pumpkin carving night at the house. Just our little family. So we ate, picked out some designs for the pumpkins. I drew them on and the boys got to work on them. It's funny how time just flies right by. I can remember doing pumpkins with Seb when he was little and he didn't even understand what we were doing yet. Now he's cutting his own pumpkin with his little battery powered saw. Shan's using a small handsaw and barely needs our help at all. Lucas, God help us, is trying to wield his own saw and is pretty much under the impression that he doesn't need anyone's help, ever. And Brandon is the only one who has no idea what we're doing with these big ol' orange things on our table.
My punkins with their pumpkins.
Playing in the pumpkin guts.
Once they got past the initial squeamish beginnings they dug right in (seems to be the same routine every year). haha
Carving away.
Smile!
Shan's smiley face (I think he did the same thing last year, but he probably forgot).
Shan's goofy face.
Seb's had a little more detail and took a little more time.
Brandon's pumpkin...I think they're about the same size. He was smiling at his Sebby here. His brothers can always get a smile out of him.
Shan's pumpkin from his field trip. His class painted them at school and he gave it to me. It's our new centerpiece for the kitchen table.
The finished products on our front steps to welcome our visitors...from tallest to smallest.
