Pumpkin Time Again

Yesterday Jason & I took the boys out to the pumpkin patch. It was a little windy but still nice and warm. It was pretty busy so we walked out to the pumpkin patch first to pick the perfect one. As you can see, Jason & Shan are pretty proud of it and Seb's trying to pick it up by himself!

On our way to pay for the pumpkin there were some crates piled high with different pumpkins...Everything from the mini pumpkins (like the boys got), to Tony the Tiger pumpkins (cute white ones with orange stripes), "Casper" pumpkins (I'm sure you can guess they were all white), and "we-be-little" pumpkins (so cute)!

As soon as we loaded the pumpkins, we headed back to the token booth and then we were "off to the races". Actually, we only went to the pony rides (which almost every kid there was in line for). The boys were really excited and had a great time riding the ponies, which are always over to quick if you ask us! Oddly enough, Seb actually picked the same pony he had last year...I think her name is "Sparkle"?

After the pony rides we headed over for Jason's favorite part of the trip...Feeding the Clydesdales. This year Shanny actually got to hold the bucket and feed one of the horses. We decided to skip the hay rides this year, since I probably wouldn't be able to climb up on the trailer so the horses could pull us around, but next year I'm going for sure!!

And I didn't get pictures of the zoo train but it was pretty fun. Seb & Jason rode in the tiger car and Shan & I rode in the giraffe. Although, when we went over the cattle guard and the incredibly bumpy road, I thought I was going to deliver the baby in the zoo train! Honestly though, I'm just thankful I was able to lift my leg high enough to take a ride on the train! We did manage to eat some tasty kettle korn while we were waiting though.

Now, for the funny part! After our train ride it was getting cold enough to head home so we started out toward the car, or rather, toward what we thought was our car. Jason thought it a bit strange that he hadn't unlocked it but Seb opened his door right up. The odd thing was, Seb's booster was missing and a base to a carseat was buckled in. Then it dawned on me that we were looking in someone else's car! Yep, we were all but committing a B & E. I panicked and yanked Seb away from the car and shut the door right away! It turns out, our car was parked only two spots further down. It's funny when you think about it now, but at the time I was pretty freaked out that someone was going to think we were trying to steal their car!

Note to self: Look for the sticker on the back window of your car! Or better yet, check the license plate!
