This year we stayed pretty low-key. We went to church, went grocery shopping for pizza toppings, dropped a valentine present to one of Seb's friends, and then came home and finished bagging up our valentine goodies. We had Jason's sister and her boyfriend over for dinner & cake and we watched The Corpse Bride, which I suppose isn't much of a "heart day" movie, but it did have a wedding in it.
Sebastian had a great Valentine's party with his class (at his new school) and brought home lots of cards, candy, and (thankfully) a new toothbrush! The boys all exchanged gifts with each other. Seb got a "journal" for writing his school words, etc. in it, a new "flexy" ruler, and chocolates. Shan got triangle crayons and chocolates, and Lucas got "stained glass" animals for his mobile and all the paints & brushes to go with it (so the boys can't fight over "their" paints). Jason got Couples Retreat and homemade cards from the boys and I. And I got Chocolat, a cd by Train, one by The Script, and a card that said everything that we both hold dear!
It was a nice day with the fam and the boys loved their goodies and had fun making their cards and crafts! Hope you all had a great "love-y" day too!!
