My Nana sent all the boys a cookie in a tin this year. We just got them yesterday. The cookies were soft but not too tasty and the tins were super cute. I didn't want to just throw them away so Jason and I thought up a new tradition. --Thank you Nana!
Every year the boys can pick which tin they want and then we'll bake up some cookies and decorate one for each of them. Maybe we'll even hint to a gift once in a while. I don't know if there are a lot of families that have this tradition, I'm sure some other family out there does, but we thought it would be fun for them to have a different kind of tradition...At least different for our family.
This year we did cut-out sugar cookies. Trees, gingerbread men, and mittens. We decorated all of them and the boys picked different ones out to eat and give to Santa. And we made a special one for Jason, who of course thought it would be funny to decapitate his gingerbread man before finishing him off...Men!
