Yesterday marked my hubby's 28th birthday, although nobody actually believes that's his real age, not that he's ready for the senior discount yet or anything, but I always tease him that I'm sooo much younger. hehe
It was a pretty busy day though, considering I didn't think to put any money aside for gifts and spent the first half of the day doing things around the house. When I finally looked at the clock it was after 12:00 so the boys and I ate a quick lunch and took some food to Jason at work.
When we finally got home after errands in town it was already 2:30 so we popped the cake in the oven, hung a birthday sign, and sat down to make a present & card. The boys were giggling and crafting away happily while I was running around the house, snapping pictures, gluing paper, and trying to make the place look nice for dinner.
We actually pulled it off quite nicely. Jason asked if we'd make the gifts last week so I think we did a pretty good job. haha The boys helped with everything, including the cake & keeping watch for Jason to come home. Dinner went well and the boys were psyched about the cake and presents. We had a great visit with Jason's family, except both his brothers weren't able to make it but his brother and sister-in-law in Washington called to wish him a Happy Birthday. Maybe next year we can get him some big gifts or go somewhere cool, but I think the gifts from the heart are always pretty cool and his parents got him a gift card and dvd from Sportman's so we're going up this week to use that, I'm sure...

Making presents for Daddy...
He loves to color. Can you tell he's nibbling a crayon in the picture?
Seb and I iced the cake...We make a good team, no?
When he blew out the candles the sprinkles flew everywhere and wax shot onto the table!
Yep, sugar overload already!
Doesn't Shan look like his daddy? They were being a couple of smarty pants!
His birthday card...Check out the cool little globe!
The boys made him a book with tracings of their little hands, pictures of everything he loves, and a list of everything great about him in it.
And, of course we had to make a little sign for Seb's "restaurant"...
