2013 was our last year of traveling for Christmas. Now that our little growing family is complete we've decided we'd like to have our boys waking up in our house Christmas morning and running downstairs for their gifts without the task of having to pack and unpack every gift and travel in bad weather (although this year, the roads were pretty great so we were really thankful for that). But it was great having all of Jason's family together for, what Jason's dad says will most likely be their last Christmas in that house.
We traveled to Bend to spend Christmas with Jason's family and catch up with some of the boys' friends from their old school. Although none of Shanon's friends have kept in touch, or were able to come to the play date, a couple of Seb's friends were able to make it, including his very best friend Ashten. And all the cousins had a great time spending Christmas break together.
We also went to Santa Land to see our sweet friend A'Leah and tell Santa what the boys wanted for Christmas. They all asked for a snowboard. Kassie went along with us to keep us company while we waited for our turn. It was great getting to spend some time with her too. It had been way too long.
Robert & Keiko brought a craft from Japan. We'd never seen anything like it before. They got to put a little paper tree together and then put water & glitter in the little dish at the base of the tree and the next day, on Christmas day, they had a full blown tree! It was very cool!
We got home the day after Christmas, unpacked, and headed into town to visit with everyone here. Tutu came out to spend the night with us and brought the boys' presents with her. But when we got home that night the boys found presents from Santa (Tutu & Papa) under the tree. They were so excited that he'd come here to leave gifts as well.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a truly great one and I can't wait to finally celebrate Christmas at home this coming year.
