Well, it was a pretty busy day of MOPS and doctor appointments and then dinner and a birthday party with family. I can't believe how little guy is already one year old...Man, how time flies!
We went with a "froggy" theme...The cakes were pretty simple & fun!
Lucas didn't really know what to think of us singing him happy birthday and putting a big ol' cake in front of him. In fact, Grandpa had to teach him to stick his fingers in the cake and convince him to eat it. But once he got a little chocolate flavor he warmed up to the idea. I think stabbing the cake with his spoon was as much fun for him as actually eating it.
It took a second for him to figure out that he was just supposed to tear through the wrapping paper, in a way it reminded me of how polite Seb used to be. He finally got the hang of it though with a little help from Jason & Crystal and once he got to play with the toys he was pretty happy. It was a pretty big hit...He seemed to like everything he got, including his new Oregon Ducks outfit!
