The whole family escaped for a little weekend mini vacation last weekend. It was great! The water was cool & clear. We had a campsite right on the water, the kids played all day, we swam and fished, and BBQ'd everything. Jason's mom (a.k.a. Grandma) made us pancakes every morning for breakfast, and Seb even got to watch a movie in the RV with them-the new Alice in Wonderland.
Jason got to take his boat out fishing early Sunday morning and the boys both got rides on the SeaDoos and a we took a family cruise around the lake before we had to leave. The beach was nice and sandy. Lucas enjoyed a nice little nap there and dipped his little toes in the water with Daddy, Shan did some late night fishing with Daddy (who caught the smallest bass on a line he just left sitting out in the water for probably a good hour), and the boys got bracelets from the marine deputies for wearing their life jackets near the water! And Kodi, of course, welcomed every person that walked past our campsite...Or at least caught their attention.
It was a pretty nice, relaxing weekend. I think we need more weekends like that!
