A New Season...

The last few days my morning sickness has been easing up a little and I'm feeling like I'm getting a lot of energy back. I've been able to get my house cleaned up and stay on top of the laundry and dishes again. The last two weekends we've worked in the backyard and it's really coming along nicely, thanks almost entirely to Jason! He's been raking up all the garbage, watering the grass, finding new homes for all the junk around here that we don't want, and yesterday he finished shoveling up all the gross bedding/dirt behind the garage. Then he put down rock and built a fire pit out of some left over lava rock. And every time I find another thing to decorate the house with, he's right there with a hammer to help me out.

And, Oh my gosh, this weather is beautiful! I checked our little thermometer this morning and it was 70 degrees outside. I hurried the boys into their shorts and out to the backyard to play. Other than Shan still being sick and clingy, we had such a nice time! We turned up the stereo, opened the windows and headed out to water the flower bed. We spent the rest of the morning playing in the dirt, tossing the ball for Kodi, and just enjoying the weather. The boys stayed outside while I made them lunch, and then I tossed them in the tub so we could wash all the dirt off of them. It's been such a pleasant day. There's been no yelling, not too much fighting, and now they're cuddled up in my bed watching old school cartoons and getting ready for nap time.

I know it's probably not the most wonderful thing to have to admit, but with the bad weather and the morning sickness I've felt like I was barely surviving the day and I was feeling so relieved when Jason would get home from work. But not that I'm starting to feel better and the weather is getting so great I feel like I'm appreciating everything in a new way. I'm loving my time with the boys, I'm finally getting to enjoy this pregnancy, I've getting great quality time with Jason, and I'm loving my little house. The sun & shade are just perfect...It's not too hot, but it's very bright and comfortable. The yard's looking great and I can't wait to invite all my friends over for play dates! I just feel like we're accomplishing so much...It's great!
