This is our new baby...Seb named him Kodi. He's very sweet and gentle and timid and has become Seb's little shadow, although he's becoming pretty comfortable with the rest of us too. The name he came with was "Kennedy" up it just wasn't working for us, and he was born on Shan's birthday so it'll be easy to remember how old he is. And, although he's not house broke yet, he already comes to his name.
Unfortunately, since Bear got neutered he's become very confrontational, especially with Jason. He's still really good with Shanon and usually with me, but he's getting sort of aggressive with everyone else. Jason doesn't think we should keep him because 'what if' he were to snap and hurt one of the boys. And I don't want him to be stuck outside with no attention so we're going to take him to a shelter to be re-homed with a family that has more time and space for him. I hope he goes to someone nice because I hate having to give him up!

I know that is a very hard decision to admit that a pet is mismatched with your family, but it is the right one and good for you for making it. Don't put it off until you regret it.

Your children's safety is uber important and if it is in question with an animal ...then that animal needs to go. Unfortunately we never know how an animal is going to turn out...that is why I currently have fish. They don't bite or anything! However lately I have been missing something to cuddle with. Then we leave for the weekend and I don't have to make arrangements for the fish and I forget about a cuddly again.
