Well, we're here. We made it...Construction, hunger, stopping to re-fuel, feed the baby, Jason's truck acting up a little. Nothing could stop us from getting here...It just took longer than expected! And Jason and Seb had no air conditioning, while Shan and I were cruising in style...Only the best in my ride! And boy is it hot over here! I can't wait to get in the pool and get a little sun (I feel like a little albino these days)!
Of course I need to go to bed now because I have to get up in five hours, pack the truck, take a shower and get to my sister's house so we can all take off for sunny California, not for a vacation but rather, a sad family get-together for the funeral of my Uncle Sam (who looked almost identical to my Pappy, in my opinion).
So, a quick update...
Seb's doing well:
*Growing, potty-trained, ready for preschool!
Shan's getting big:
*Weighing in at 11.5 lbs. and measuring 22 3/4 inches.
*New attempts to roll over (probably on accident), cooing, BIIIIIGGGG SMILES!
Jason:
*Anxious for his new job, ready to start a Friday night poker here (couples included thankfully)-Looking forward to that, bought my new poker hat today! ;p
Me:
*Excited about being with my family, getting ready to start working my business over here. Met some new people tonight while shopping (so friendly).
*Not looking forward to unpacking all our stuff into my old room from my high school days, but I'm happily overdosing on the nostalgia of my lavender walls and cute little hippy flowers (I know, I probably didn't seem the type).
*LOVING having my hubby here with us and starting a new adventure, even though it means moving away from a fun town and, in a way, leaving my friends behind *tear.
Okay, now I feel glum. I better get some sleep, I have to pack enough luggage to California, let alone the bags under my eyes as well. Best wishes to all of you out there! Enjoy the rest of your week and have a fun weekend!
**Much Love**
