A New School Year!

Today is the boys' first day of school. I can't believe they're already in 1st & 4th grade! It seems like summer went by so fast and we didn't even do very much. I think they were pretty excited because they were up 20 minutes before the alarm was set to go off and were dressed and ready to go when I woke up. haha

 

Shan has the same teacher he had last year so he was really excited (the kindergarten teacher also teaches the same class of kids for 1st grade at their school). Shan's teacher was pretty impressed that he read all the packets of stories she'd handed out at the end of school last year and did all the flash cards. So hopefully he's right on task for 1st grade.

 

Seb was a little nervous to have a new teacher but had a couple familiar faces in his class and we've heard great things about his teacher. He also got to visit with his teacher from last year before we left last night's open house. He told her all about how he'd done 41 hours of reading over the summer and turned in a math packet she'd handed out on the last day of school last year so this morning he got to go to her class before school started to get a prize from her.

 

The house is so much quieter right now, with only Lucas & Brandon here with me. I already can't wait to go pick up the big boys and see how their first day was!
